Race Details

The 10 km event starts near the Community Hall in Windermere. The course winds its way up and down scenic roads in the Lakeview area. Reflections of the Purcells in Lake Windermere are spectacular on quiet days. Continue down the hill and across the bridge into Athalmer and on through Invermere to the finish at Pynelogs Cultural Centre . You now have the rest of the day to rest, relax and have fun with friends and family

Fees : $40 and includes a 16th Annual Souvenir Shirt

Registration : $40 deadline August 1st. After August 1st add $5.00.
- Entry forms accepted until 5:00PM, Thursday, August 4th at Summit Footwear & Apparel,
and
- from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Check site - Best Western Invermere Inn on Friday, August 5th 
- Last minute participants may register on Race Day at Windermere Community Hall - 6:30AM - 8:00AM Saturday August 6th. They may not receive a shirt prior to the race or receive the benefit of the official Timer.

Check-In : Friday August 5th Best Western (downtown Invermere) 11 AM to 8 PM. You will receive your race kits. Participants may register at Check-in as well.

StartTime: 8:00 AM Saturday August 6th, 2011 at Windermere Community Hall

Support: Comfort stations are located at regular intervals throughout entire course. Water, replacement drink, toilet facilities and limited first aid will be available at several locations. Emergency first aid arrangements will be in place.

Awards: 10:15 AM You now have the rest of the weekend to rest, relax and have fun with friends and family.

Transportation: There is no bus to Windermere Community Hall, but after the race we will take you back to the 10 Km start area for your vehicle.

Pancake Breakfast: After you finish at Pynlogs (Cultural Center - Kinsmen Beach) , a breakfast of hot and hearty pancakes awaits for all participants.  Non-participants are welcome to join you for breakfast at $5.00/ person. After the 10:30 AM awards, you have the rest of the weekend to rest, relax and have fun with friends and family. Take advantage of what our beautiful valley has to offer.

Things to Do: Spas, massages (aching feet and muscles), soak in hot tubs or in one of the two natural hot springs close by. Stop at a neighborhood pub, hop, hike, bike, swim, kayak, canoe, or just lay on the beach. The possibilities are endless.
