Welcome to the 16th Annual Loop the Lake Event,
a race for the whole community.

Saturday - AUGUST 6, 2011

This is a Rotary Club of Invermere Fundraiser

The race location is in the Columbia Valley, and the unparalleled scenery, makes this event something special. We offer participants (some from as far away as Texas, Idaho, Liverpool, and Ontario) a course through some of the most beautiful country in BC. The magnificent Purcell and Rocky mountain ranges flank clear blue lakes; Bald Eagles ride the temperate air currents; Good weather and sunshine are the norm. Participants fall in love with this event because of its fresh, peaceful, and rejuvenating surroundings.

Bring your family. They’ll enjoy it too. Make the ‘Loop’ weekend into a short summer trip. There’s something for everyone. Quiet trips through the Wetlands in a canoe or kayak, easy to hard hikes and bike rides, art galleries, shopping, amusement parks, swimming, golf, hang-gliding and paragliding competitions, spas, provincial parks, beaches, 4-wheeler tours - you choose!  With so much to see and do, it’s easy to see why Loop the Lake weekend can be a great adventure for the whole family.
